Misty was heading back to Cerulean City after traveling with Ash, Brock and Pikachu, and she was going to resume her duties as the Cerulean Gym Leader. But then, she felt something was wrong and she saw a purple gum-like substance wrap around her like an Ekans or an Arbok, and it pinned her arms to the side.
